Simultaneous to the transit plan, the Rogue Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is working on a plan for Active Transportation in the region that includes walking, traveling with a mobility aid, biking, and using other wheeled devices like skateboards, and includes accessing transit using one of these modes. Learn more about this plan and tell us about barriers to accessing transit at our open house or find more information about the Active Transportation Plan here.

RVTD Board Adopts Vision Statement

On July 25th, 2018 the RVTD Board adopted a Vision Statement to guide the 2040 Transit Master Plan.

Vision

In 2040, RVTD provides quality, efficient public transportation for residents and visitors, including those who are transit-dependent, improving the quality of life and the environment in the Rogue Valley and connecting its diverse communities to jobs, opportunities, and daily needs.

Join us for a Community Open House and Share Your Voice on the Region's Transit

Join us on Wednesday, June 6th at the Medford Public Library between 3-6 p.m. Try your hand at route planning! Weigh in on RVTD's vision and goals that shape future service decisions. Talk about bus stops and places new service should be prioritized. Bring the Kids for a Gus the Bus activity!

RVTD Kicks Off Update to their Long Range Plan

RVTD has kicked off an update to their long range plan which was last updated in 2007. That plan guided service enhancements and expansions for the last ten years. This update will look at transit needs for the Rogue Valley for the next twenty years but also guide transit service enhancements and investments for the next 5-10 years.
